Victorian house of character; 3 storeys in lovely Hampshire village; beautiful garden.

Parking at our home is often available and there is street parking. 5 minute walk to The Green with two shops, pubs and restaurants. Splendid walks, cycling, golf, tennis. Chichester and Portsmouth close by.
Our bedrooms are a little quirky and quite charming; arched windows in the double bedroom and in the bathroom; an Aga in the kitchen. The house is on 3 levels and has a lovely feel to it. Breakfast can be taken on a fairly self-service fashion in the kitchen/living room or in summer, in Long Room overlooking the lovely large garden. The bedrooms have a variety of teas available and coffee.
Breakfast is fairly self-service; we provide juice, a variety of cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast,jams; all laid out for you to choose. Eggs are now added to the list.
The bath/shower room is for sole use of guests with shower gel and shampoo provided.
The double room takes 2 people.
We have a larger family sized room available, double and a single (additional cost for third guest ).
Guests may sit in the garden if the weather is fine dependant on my client appointments.
Interaction with Guests
We are happy to chat, share our knowledge of the area and generally to enjoy finding out about our travellers. Herb is a local boy so knows the area inside out and should be able to help with any questions, especially cycling routes!
I am Scottish and Herb is mainly English and we will be present at the listing when guests stay.
We have two cats, Bramble and Marmalade.
We are 10 minutes from the coast which I love and it’s a 5 minute walk to our golf club.
The village is lovely and we are a short walk from The Green- where it all happens! There are 2 excellent local shops. Walking in the area is a pleasure as is cycling.
There are 3 pubs and 4 eating places; a Harvester, The Robin Hood and The Castle Inn serve food. Also the cafe- Tea on the Green serves food.
Train: Rowlands Castle : main train route to London Waterloo and Portsmouth.
Havant, five minutes away has a great train network.
Bus to local areas. Southampton Airport: 25 minute drive, or train to Havant then to airport. Taxi : Andy Cars. 626

Close by:Portsmouth is celebrated for Nelson’s ship The Victory. The Mary Rose Museum is excellent and The Spinnaker Tower at Portsmouth Gunwharf Quays merit a visit. Chichester famous for its Festival Theatre and beautiful Cathedral is 15 minutes away. Stansted House is very close and a walk around the grounds is de rigeur.
